The fractal image analysis software IDOLON is written in C. The interface is based on the Motif widget set (version 1.0). Thus it should have a high degree of portability on various platforms, where Motif is supported. The source code can be compiled with AIX XL C-compiler and GNU gcc-compiler. A compiled version is available for IBM RISC System/6000 and SUN Sparc 10. At present the quality assurance only extends to to the RISC System/6000 version.
